I kept adding more and more ideas and those ideas blossomed into other ideas to the extent that there's only the faintest hint of that initial doo wop impulse on the album but a whole other sort of garden grew up around it and through it. It was probably a decade from the moment that that title popped into my head as an idea for a doo wop song to its completion as a full length album, one that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with doo wop."
